About

After working for 15 years in Local Government, latterly as the manager of Greenwich Film Unit, I made the decision to leave and follow my passion for photography. I have now completed a degree in Wildlife Photography at Blackpool and the Fylde College for which I received First Class with honours. Then in September 2009 I completed a Master of Arts in Wildlife Documentary Production. I have since gained a PTTL's teaching qualification and a dedicated following of fans. I am now offering tailor-made courses and one-to-one tutorials to share my knowledge and skills. Based at the prestigious Ravensbourne College of Design and Communications in North Greenwich, I am developing a business which seeks to offer the best in courses, fine art wildlife imagery and exhibitions as well as developing my filming career.

I have instinctively developed a feel for creative photography and the natural world, as well as a concern for the issues that face us today. As such, my work is multi-functional, as a celebration of animal life and the physical world around us, it also looks at various subjects often overlooked, misunderstood or simply begging to be questioned.

There is a belief in the traditional wildlife photography world that wildlife cannot be fine-art and this holds true for artists too that see wildlife as a topic for the making of pretty pictures of wildlife. I can't see why I can't do both and indeed, my work is a reflection of both ways of working.

I am essentially concerned with conservation and the future of our world and as such carry out my work with this in mind and within the scope of an Environmental Policy.
